Real Madrid Club announced today, Thursday, its official signing of the Spanish striker Carlos Espi coming from Levante, with a contract extending for five seasons until June 30, 2031.
Real Madrid explained, in an official statement, that the 21-year-old player spent three seasons with Levante, during which he played 66 matches, scoring 20 goals during them.
The Royal Club added that Espi was crowned last season with the award for the best player under 23 years old in the league, and he had previously represented the Spanish national teams under 19 and under 20.
Real Madrid concluded its statement by welcoming the new arrival, who begins a new stage in his career wearing the Royal Club's jersey with a contract extending until the summer of 2031.
Previous Spanish reports had indicated that Real Madrid's management had decided to sign a young striker who possesses the elements of development, and they see that Carlos Espi, who is 21 years old, is the most suitable option to strengthen the forward line.
Meanwhile, the player received interest from several European clubs this summer, most notably the English Brighton & Hove Albion, which made the strongest attempts to sign him, but the player prefers to continue in the Spanish league instead of undergoing an external experience at the present time.
