A source from Al Ahly club revealed developments on the injury of Oktay Abdullah, the team's striker, during the match against Laviena.
Al Ahly defeated Laviena 7-1 in a friendly as part of both teams' preparations for the new season.
A source from Al Ahly told FilGoal.com: "Oktay Abdullah's injury is not concerning. The player suffered a minor bruise and did not complete the friendly against Laviena as a result, and his condition is very good".
Oktay Abdullah joined Al Ahly from Enppi alongside Ali Mahmoud.
The match against Laviena saw Oktay Abdullah suffer an injury and leave the field for treatment.
Tahir Mohamed Tahir was also seen with his foot in a shin guard due to an injury from the previous match against Al Nasr.
Some international players — Imam Ashour, Zizo, Hani, Marwan Attia, and Yasser Ibrahim — along with the new Moroccan signing Sofiane Benjdida, took part in light training before the match.
Al Ahly defeated Al Nasr 5-1 in the first friendly and will face Petrol Asyut on Wednesday before traveling to Spain.
Al Ahly's training camp in Spain begins on August 6, and the team will face Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Cup on the 19th of the same month.
