Real Madrid announced the signing of the fifth summer deal to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window, after entering into serious talks to sign one of the Spanish league players.
Carlos Espi, the Levante striker, had decided to stop his transfer deal to Hull City after Real Madrid's interest in his services in the past hours.
Real Madrid stated in its statement: "Real Madrid announces the signing of Carlos Espi until June 30, 2031 with a contract that extends for five seasons".

And he added: "Espi played three seasons with Levante, and scored 20 goals during 66 matches, and crowned his efforts by winning the award for the best player in the Spanish league last season under 23 years old, and represented the Spanish national team under 19 and 20 years old".
Sky Sports journalist "Fabrizio Romano" had confirmed that Real Madrid completed the signing deal with Levante striker Carlos Espi.
Real Madrid activated the penalty clause amounting to 25 million euros in Carlos Espi's contract with Levante, after sending his official letter to the club.
Carlos Espi will join Real Madrid, where he is expected to undergo medical examinations in Madrid today, and became the fifth signing of the team after signing Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva.
