The first team of Al Ahly Club achieved a valuable victory over La Viena, seven goals to one, in the friendly match between the two teams this evening, Thursday, as part of preparations for the new 2026-2027 season.
The events of the match, held at Al Ahly Club's stadium in the Nasr City branch, were of a good standard, with Al Ahly dominating most of the proceedings.
The match was played in a three-period format, with each period lasting only 30 minutes, during which the Reds achieved their biggest friendly win under Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta.
Al Ahly lined up with Mohamed Siha in goal, Karim El Debes, Amr El Gazzar, Yassin Marei and Karim Fouad in defense, Ahmed Reda, Omar El Saai and Mohamed Magdy Afsha in midfield, behind the attacking trio of Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Oktay Abdullah and Mohamed Abdullah.
A source confirmed in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura that the match featured a standout performance from Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar, who scored two of Al Ahly’s seven goals, the same as he did in the previous friendly.
Mohamed Sherif, Moroccan Ashraf Ben Sharqi and Mohamed Abdullah each scored in La Viena’s net, while Karim Fouad scored from a penalty.
Al Ahly had already secured a win in its first friendly under coach Hussein Ammouta, defeating Al Nasr 5-1.
Al Ahly is scheduled to play a third friendly on August 5 against Petrojet Assiut before traveling to Spain for pre-season training.
