The Royal Spanish Football Federation has made its decision regarding Atlético Madrid's complaint against Barcelona's efforts to sign the Argentine Julián Álvarez this summer.
The Spanish newspaper "Sport" confirmed that the disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation decided to open an investigation into Atlético Madrid's complaint against Barcelona because of Álvarez.
The body responsible for football in Spain informed Barcelona of the start of disciplinary proceedings, and gave the club days to submit its response to this complaint.

Barcelona's legal team is currently preparing its defense of its position, and is confident that this investigation will not result in any serious consequences.
Atlético Madrid accused Barcelona of holding talks with Álvarez, who is under contract with the club until 2030.
Barcelona insists its position is sound, and confirms that Julián Álvarez had declared his desire to leave the club before the Blaugrana submitted their offer of 100 million euros.
Despite this investigation, Barcelona has not changed its transfer market plans, as sporting director Deco still considers the Argentine a priority to strengthen Hansi Flick's attack despite Atlético Madrid's insistence on refusing to negotiate his departure.
The coming days could prove decisive, as Barcelona's offer is expected to expire, and Álvarez is set to join Atlético Madrid's training on August 10 if no agreement is reached.
