Al-Ittihad announced that the team's medical staff decided to rest the players Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, Youssef Al-Nusairi, Marwan Al-Sahafi, and Farha Al-Shamrani, and not to involve them against Malaga after suffering a simple muscle strain.
Al-Ittihad explained that the decision came within a precautionary plan aimed at preventing any physical injuries and limiting the exacerbation of any muscle injuries.
The players are currently undergoing a special treatment and rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical staff, in preparation for their return to participate with the team as soon as their medical condition allows.
