De Zerbi confirmed the return of Savinho after recovering from a muscle injury. Meanwhile, the concerning injury for De Zerbi is the condition of midfielder James Maddison, who suffered a broken shoulder in the opening round against Brentford. The 29-year-old missed the defeat against Newcastle, and his availability for today's match remains uncertain.
In a related development, both Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo, who joined the team at the end of the summer transfer window, have been registered in time for the weekend match. De Zerbi confirmed that the Ukrainian is ready to play for approximately 30 minutes against Nottingham.
