Media reports have revealed tension between FC Barcelona and a first-team football player during the period preceding his departure from the squad in the concluded summer transfer window of the 2026/2027 season.

FC Barcelona signed seven new players in preparation for the current season: Rodri, Anthony Gordon, Jesse Lingard, Karim Adeyemi, João Cancelo, Livaković, and Gabriel Jesus.

This summer, Barcelona witnessed the departure of several players such as Ronald Araújo, Robert Lewandowski, and Ferran Torres, alongside youth team players including Álvaro Cortés, Toni Fernández, and Gil Fernández.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the relationship between Barcelona and Marc Casadó was tense recently.

Barcelona had announced Casadó's loan move to Deportivo La Coruña until the end of the current season, specifically until June 30, 2027.

"Marca" reported that the player was dissatisfied with certain ways he was treated, while Barcelona was unhappy with how his departure file concluded after months of attempting a permanent exit.

The report indicated that the club wanted to sell him for approximately €25 million, after his value the previous summer was estimated between €30 and €40 million.

It clarified that matters ended with Casadó being loaned to Deportivo at the last minute, with the club bearing a significant portion of his salary.

The report concluded by stating that the player rejected options from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and tensions escalated further after he trained separately and had his squad number withdrawn.
