A total of 36 teams will participate in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, according to the new format introduced in 2024. The teams are divided into four pots, and each team will face eight opponents—four matches at home and four away.

According to the rules of this phase, a team cannot face another club from the same national association, but it may encounter up to two teams from the same country during the league stage.
Regarding qualification to the Round of 16, the top eight teams advance directly, while those finishing between positions 9 and 24 will proceed to the playoff round, which consists of two-legged ties.
