Al-Qadsiah Club announced on Sunday the official signing of young French striker Mohamed Sangare, who joins from Manchester City's youth academy, in a deal whose financial details have not been disclosed.
The 19-year-old's transfer came on the final day of the summer transfer window in Saudi Arabia, where he will be registered in the youth category, as the Eastern Province club continues its series of signings.
The signing of Sangare is intended to bolster Al-Qadsiah's attack, marking the second acquisition from Manchester City following the signing of Dutch international Tijjani Reijnders.
The young French striker signed a contract with Al-Qadsiah until summer 2029. Saudi media reports, citing the newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat," valued the deal at $4 million.
Sangare gained experience with Paris Saint-Germain's youth setup before moving to Manchester City, prior to finalizing his future with a transfer to the Saudi league.
According to the player's statistics on "Transfermarkt," Sangare played 35 matches for Paris Saint-Germain's Under-19 team, scoring 33 goals and providing two assists.
With Manchester City, he featured in five matches for the Under-19 squad, netting three goals and recording one assist.
For the Under-21 team, he played 25 matches for City, scoring 12 goals and adding two more assists.
Notably, Al-Qadsiah currently sits in third place in the league standings with 12 points, level with Al-Nassr, and behind leaders Al-Hilal, who have 15 points from five matches.
