Saudi press reports revealed on Saturday the arrival date of Richard Hughes, the former sporting director of Liverpool FC, to the capital "Riyadh" to begin his mission with Al-Hilal Club.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Hughes will arrive in Riyadh on Sunday, accompanied by Craig Mager, the scouting coordinator who has joined his staff.
Hughes' sporting management team includes the Englishman Simon Francis, the Scotsman Mark James, and the Irishman Harry Nicholas Arter.
Al-Hilal Club had approved Hughes' request, who stipulated remaining with Liverpool until completing his work on transfer files with "The Reds," after which the English club officially announced the departure of its sporting director.
Hughes assumed the role of sporting director at Liverpool FC in 2024; prior to that, he was with Bournemouth Club, where he began his career in 2016.
In another context, Al-Hilal Club continues its preparations for the match against Neom SC next Monday evening, to play the Neom match at "Kingdom Arena" stadium at 9:00 PM Cairo time.
Al-Hilal team achieved full marks by winning their first five matches, the latest being a 2-0 victory over Al-Shabab team in the capital derby.
