Erling Haaland, the star of Manchester City, blamed himself after today's victory against Coventry City in the 2026/27 Premier League season.
Manchester City visited Coventry City on Saturday afternoon in the third round of the Premier League, where the Sky Blues secured a 1-0 victory thanks to Erling Haaland.
Haaland said in statements published by the English network "City Extra": "I think I should have scored a few more goals against Coventry City, but I didn't, so I need to work harder on this aspect."

He added: "Ryan Sharqi is an outstanding player with some special qualities; it's about understanding each other and working well together. That's what we need. We must build those relationships on the pitch. We want to work well together, whether it's him, Siminio, Ndiaye, or others."
He continued: "This is extremely important. Ultimately, we want to win and play good football. I saw glimpses of that sometimes against Coventry. I believe there is much more to come in the future."
He further stated: "Enzo Fernandez played and delivered an excellent performance. He had some chances and could have scored. He was brilliant. Ndiaye as well—you can immediately see his potential. His way of dribbling past players and his fluid style were amazing."
He noted: "There is a strong reason the club signed them. They are exceptional players. The key now is for them to adapt to the team as quickly as possible while delivering their best performances."
He concluded: "We have won our first three league matches. Now it's time for the Champions League, and afterward we will face Manchester United. There is still much ahead of us."
