The sports administration of Saudi club Al-Ittihad has entered negotiations with Brazilian winger Luiz Henrique, a player for Russia's Zenit, aiming to sign him during the ongoing summer transfer window.
This move by the Saudi club's management comes amid difficulties in negotiations with Feyenoord to secure the services of Algerian winger Anis Hadj Moussa, as the Dutch club has no intention of letting the player go.
Transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that if Al-Ittihad's agreement with Feyenoord stalls, the Jeddah-based club will turn to negotiations with Luiz Henrique of Zenit.
The 25-year-old has been playing for the Russian club since being signed from Brazilian side Botafogo in 2025, in a deal worth approximately €28 million.
According to player statistics on "Transfermarkt," the Brazilian international has played 55 matches for Zenit, scoring 8 goals and providing 8 assists.
Al-Ittihad is seeking to finalize the signing of the attacking winger to compensate for the departure of French professional Moussa Diaby, who transferred to Bayer Leverkusen during the summer window.
"Al-Deeb" is expected to play a highly anticipated and important match tonight at Al-Inma Stadium against Al-Nassr, in the climax of the fifth round of the Saudi League.
