The Algerian Football Federation announced the new technical staff for the senior national team following the recent dismissal of Swiss coach Vladimir Petković.

This morning, Saturday, the Federal Bureau of the Algerian Football Federation held its regular September meeting, chaired by Walid Sadi, to resolve several important files.

According to a statement published by the Algerian Federation on its official page, the meeting's agenda included several key issues, foremost among them reviewing the situation of the senior national team.

The Algerian Football Federation revealed the identity of the new coach who will lead "Les Verts," replacing Swiss coach Vladimir Petković, in accordance with established procedures.

Former Algerian star Ibrahim Hamdani, who recently won the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games with the Algeria U-21 team, was chosen to coach the senior squad, with former star Antar Yahia appointed as his assistant.

The newspaper "El Nahaar" reported details of today's Saturday meeting of the Algerian Football Federation, which also resulted in appointing Moussa Saïb as the general manager of the senior national football team and Hussein Laaribi as coach of the Algeria U-20 team.

The Algerian coach holds a significant administrative and legal advantage, being one of the few Algerian coaches possessing the professional UEFA Pro coaching license.

Petković's tenure with the "Desert Warriors" ended after 29 months leading the technical staff, during which he managed a total of 33 matches for the Algerian national team, achieving 23 wins, drawing 5 matches, and suffering 5 defeats.
