Saudi club Al-Ahli announced on Sunday the signing of right-back Saeed Baatya from Al-Fateh on the final day of the current summer transfer window.

The club's official account on the "X" platform stated that the Western club has officially signed Baatya to strengthen its right flank.

The 26-year-old is a product of Al-Ahli's youth academy before moving to Al-Ansar and Jeddah, then joining Al-Fateh in 2023.

Currently, Al-Ahli's management is making significant moves to finalize a midfield deal, as "Al-Raqi" has reached an agreement with Ivorian midfielder Ibrahim Diaby from Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

Al-Ahli returned to the winning path by defeating Al-Riyadh 5-0 in the fifth round of the Saudi Roshn League.

"Al-Raqi" had previously suffered two consecutive losses: 3-1 against Al-Kholood and 3-0 against Al-Hilal.

The Jeddah giant currently occupies fifth place in the league standings with 9 points, six points behind league leaders Al-Hilal, who have a perfect record after five rounds.

Al-Ahli awaits a tough match in the sixth round when they travel to Dammam to face Al-Qadsiah next Tuesday.
