L'Équipe newspaper reported that Arsenal club reached an agreement with the Brazilian Bruno Guimarães, Newcastle United player, to sign him this summer.

The report added that Newcastle rejected the first offer made by Arsenal worth 70 million euros.
The report clarified that if he is sold for about 80 million euros, Lyon, his former club, will receive about 6 million euros additionally.
According to the British network The Athletic, Arsenal intensified its moves in the last hours to conclude the deal.
The report indicated that Newcastle's position has not changed so far, as the club does not intend to open the door to negotiations or listen to offers regarding the 28-year-old midfielder.
Bruno Guimarães played 195 matches with Newcastle, scoring 31 goals and assisting 32 others.
