Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian national team, admitted that he made a mistake in managing the Selecao during the current World Cup tournament in Mexico, Canada, and America, explaining that he will build a new generation in the coming years.
Ancelotti has been overseeing the training of Brazil since last year, and renewed his contract as technical director of the Selecao until the upcoming 2030 World Cup, amid numerous criticisms directed at the Italian coach.
The Brazilian national team was eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 16, after losing to Norway 2-1.
Ancelotti said in statements reported by "Mundo Deportivo": "After the defeat, it is important to reflect on what happened and look carefully to the future; we will build a new team from young players".
Ancelotti believes that the current generation of Brazilian players has ended, including Neymar, along with other players such as Casemiro and Danilo.

Ancelotti defended his decision to include Neymar in the Brazilian national team squad for the World Cup, explaining that he did the right thing, and the Italian coach also praised the young Selecao players, such as Ryan, Endrick, Estevao, and Vitor Reis, as these players represent the future of the team.
Ancelotti revealed that he is now focusing on the 2028 Copa America, as the Brazilian national team will meet during the international break in September against both India and Australia, with coordination between the first team of the Selecao, the under-20 team, and the youth categories.
Ancelotti also spoke about the rest of the World Cup teams, such as Spain, the champions, noting that La Roja won the competition thanks to the distinctive abilities of their midfielders, such as Pedri, Rodri, and Fabian Ruiz, while the Brazilian team plays in a more direct style relying on players like Vinicius Junior, Endrick, Estevao, and Raphinha.
Ancelotti believes that the criticisms he faced should not affect him, but rather motivate him and make him work to correct the mistakes he made.
Ancelotti affirmed that the decisions he makes are not based on media pressure, but rather on what he sees as most appropriate to win matches and titles.
