The Argentine national team arrived in the city of Atlanta after a slight delay in its flight coming from Miami, due to the heavy rains and thunderstorms that hit the host city for the match against Egypt in the round of 16 of the World Cup.
The Egyptian national team will face its Argentine counterpart at seven in the evening on Tuesday in the round of 16 of the World Cup.
It was scheduled for the team's delegation to take off on time, but the flight was delayed for more than 15 minutes due to the weather conditions, before heading to Atlanta, in a trip that took about an hour and 40 minutes, according to the TYC network.
After landing, the players headed directly to the accommodation, which is about half an hour from the airport, so the delegation arrived at the hotel around midnight Argentina time.
This delay may affect the Tango team's program, as the technical staff led by Lionel Scaloni is considering adjusting the timing of the training session scheduled for Monday morning, in order to give the players more rest.
The Argentine national team has not announced any official change so far.
Scaloni is expected to hold his traditional pre-match press conference on Monday evening.
The Argentine national team had won against Cape Verde 3-2 in the round of 32 after the match went to extra time.
The Egyptian national team won against Australia on penalties in the round of 32 of the World Cup, qualifying for the round of 16 of the tournament for the first time.
This was after the end of the original and extra time of the match with a 1-1 draw.
