Trabzonspor received a strong blow before the start of the Turkish league, as they will face Kasimpasa tomorrow, Saturday, in the first round of the competition.
Artugol Dogan, president of Trabzonspor, announced that the veteran Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana had been involved in a traffic accident.
Dogan directed a reassuring message to Trabzonspor fans regarding Onana, saying to "TRT SPORT": "Our goalkeeper Onana was involved in a traffic accident this evening, there is no problem and his condition is not serious and we wish him a speedy recovery".

Trabzonspor had contracted with Andre Onana for one season on loan in September 2025, before his loan was renewed for a second season in July 2026 without the option of permanent purchase.
Onana contributed to Trabzonspor winning the Turkish Cup title under the leadership of coach Fatih Tekke, in addition to finishing third in the league to secure a place in the Europa League league phase playoff.
It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah is scheduled to play his first match with Trabzonspor against Kasimpasa after joining with a two-season contract.
