Spanish club Real Oviedo revealed the future of Egyptian international winger Haitham Hassan regarding a departure during the current summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been linked with leaving this summer from the team that was relegated from the Spanish "La Liga" league, amid interest from Scottish Celtic and French Olympique Marseille.

Antonio Virgili, Director of Strategic Planning at Spanish club Real Oviedo, clarified in exclusive statements via "Yalla Koura": "All that is being circulated about us reaching a final agreement with Celtic club is incorrect".

The Real Oviedo club official continued: "There is nothing official until this moment regarding Haitham Hassan's departure".

The Egyptian international had been present with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

Haitham Hassan caught the attention in the world tournament, especially after his participation in the matches against Australia and Argentina in the knockout stages.

His market value rose to 8 million euros, according to the global "Transfermarkt" website, after his participation in the 2026 World Cup.

Haitham Hassan is linked with a contract with the Spanish club that ends in the summer of 2027, where the Egyptian international winger has the right to sign for any club in January and transfer for free after the end of the season.
