Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem has returned to training with French Nice in preparation for the new season "2026-2027".
Abdelmonem had participated with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup, which was recently held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.
Mohamed Abdelmonem participated for 15 minutes during the World Cup, before being injured and missing the matches against Australia and Argentina because of it.
Nice wrote about Abdelmonem's return to training via its official account on "Facebook": "Our Egyptian is back".
The 27-year-old had missed the past season due to his injury with a torn cruciate ligament in the knee in April 2025.
Mohamed Abdelmonem participated in 18 matches with Nice at a rate of 1,395 minutes.
Abdelmonem was linked with a return to Al Ahly's ranks, but he is linked with a contract with Nice until the summer of 2028.
