The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the participation of Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national team, in the CAF Strategy Conference, alongside several prominent figures.
In an official statement, CAF clarified that the conference would be attended by Arsène Wenger, Head of Global Football Development at FIFA and former manager of English club Arsenal.
Joining Wenger will be an elite group of coaches who led African teams to notable successes at the 2026 World Cup, including Hossam Hassan, Bubista, coach of Cape Verde, Mohamed Ouahbi, head coach of Morocco, and Sébastien Desabre, coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
CAF noted that the conference will be held in Cape Verde from October 7 to 9, bringing together coaches from the 54 member associations of the African Football Confederation and football legends to discuss ways to drive the development of football on the continent.
The CAF TV channel will broadcast a number of sessions held in Cape Verde, while the remaining discussions between coaches and technical experts will take place behind closed doors.
CAF is scheduled to announce the dates and program for the live-broadcast events at a later time, to discuss Africa's achievements at the 2026 World Cup, which saw the participation of 10 teams from the continent.
