The Frenchman Adrien Rabiot exploited the distinguished levels he is presenting with his country's national team in the 2026 World Cup to open the door for a transfer to Real Madrid during the current summer transfer period, according to Spanish press reports.
The Spanish website "OK Diario" mentioned that an offer to sign Rabiot reached Real Madrid's management last week through an intermediary, amid the player's desire to take on a new challenge after his remarkable performance in the World Cup.
According to the report, Rabiot, who is 31 years old, expressed his desire to leave Milan, despite being under contract with the Italian club, as he believes the time is right to embark on a new experience in his career.
The report indicated that the strong performance the midfielder is delivering with the French national team during the World Cup has boosted his stock in the transfer market, but Real Madrid's management has not yet decided on the possibility of moving to sign him.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time an opportunity for Rabiot to join Real Madrid has arisen, as the player was close to transferring to the Royal Club in 2024 on a free transfer, but the "Merengue" management preferred not to complete the deal at that time.
Despite the increasing speculations about his future, Rabiot confirmed in previous statements that he is fully focused on France's path in the World Cup, indicating that his club future file will be settled after the end of the tournament.
