FilGoal.com presents to you live coverage of the draw for the league phase of the 2026–2027 UEFA Champions League season, marking the third season under the new format.
A total of 36 teams have qualified for the league phase and will be divided into four pots, with nine teams in each pot. The draw will be conducted electronically, ensuring that each team faces two opponents from each pot, resulting in a total of eight matches: four at home and four away. At the conclusion of the league phase, points will be aggregated, and the top eight teams in the standings will qualify directly for the Round of 16. Teams ranked from ninth to sixteenth will play a playoff match against teams ranked from seventeenth to twenty-fourth to determine the remaining eight qualifiers for the Round of 16. Specifically, the teams finishing ninth and tenth will face one of the teams placed 23rd or 24th following a draw, and this pattern will apply to the other positions as well. The league phase will feature four teams making their historic debut in the UEFA Champions League: Norway's Viking, Azerbaijan's Sabah Baku, Austria's LASK (who qualified via the playoffs), and Italy's Como, who secured direct qualification.
