Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of striker Liam Delap from Chelsea, as the player embarks on a new chapter in his Premier League career.
Nottingham Forest confirmed in an official statement that the deal has been completed on a five-year contract.
The English striker joins Forest after spending one season with Chelsea, having moved to the London club from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2025.
Delap made 41 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions last season, starting 16 of them, scoring two goals and providing three assists. He also scored his first Champions League goal in a win against Barcelona.
Delap had previously attracted significant attention during the 2024-2025 season with Ipswich Town, scoring 12 Premier League goals to become the team's top scorer in their first season back in the top flight.
The 23-year-old began his professional career with Manchester City, joining their academy at the age of 16, before scoring on his first-team debut against Bournemouth in the EFL Cup.
Delap also completed several loan spells, most notably with Hull City during the 2023-2024 season, where he scored eight goals, before his permanent move to Ipswich Town.
Internationally, Delap has represented England at various youth levels, from the Under-16s to the Under-21s, and was part of the squad that won the Under-19 European Championship in 2022.
