The Turkish newspaper "anews" covered Hossam Hassan's statements, saying that the national team coach continued his support for the Palestinians before the match against Argentina, while the Iranian agency "Tasnim" stated that Hossam Hassan's position on Palestine is steadfast.

The Egyptian national team is scheduled to play against the Argentine national team this Tuesday evening, as part of the round of 16 competitions in the 2026 World Cup, currently being held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

The Egyptian national team had qualified for the round of 16 for the first time in its history after defeating the Australian national team on penalties (4-2), following extra time after the original and additional time ended in a (1-1) draw.

As for the Argentine national team, it reached the same round after defeating the Cape Verde national team with three goals to two, in a match that also went to extra time.
