There has been a surge in public demand for Trabzonspor's jerseys and tickets since Egyptian international Mohamed Salah joined the Turkish club following the end of his stint with England's Liverpool.
Salah's move to Trabzonspor has drawn global attention to the Turkish league, as fans eagerly follow the Egyptian star's new chapter after departing Liverpool.
Massive fan turnout and huge sales figures
The Turkish website "61saat" reported that Trabzonspor witnessed an unprecedented surge in interest following Mohamed Salah's signing, revealing that approximately 82,000 jerseys were sold within just two weeks, compared to 200,000 jerseys sold throughout the entire previous season.
The report indicated that Trabzonspor's sales volume during the current season is expected to significantly surpass last season's figures, coinciding with a sharp rise in seasonal ticket subscriptions by fans.
The report further noted that Trabzonspor is projected to exceed its previous season's sales by a wide margin, driven by increased fan demand for seasonal subscriptions.
Trabzonspor sold 6,500 seasonal subscriptions last season, whereas it managed to sell 25,000 subscriptions within merely two weeks this season, prompting the club to halt sales after breaking the recorded milestone.
The report clarified that numerous companies are now eager to secure sponsorship deals with Trabzonspor for advertising opportunities, following Salah's arrival during the summer transfer window.
