Celtic's Scottish coach Martin O'Neill - who recently signed the Egyptian international Haitham Hassan - revealed his health condition after undergoing surgery in one of the hospitals.

O'Neill said in statements via Celtic TV channel: "I feel much better, compared to last week, unfortunately I suffered several health problems, but I am improving gradually, and this is good news".
He added about signing Haitham Hassan: "We have been following him since around January, and we feel that he will provide an addition to the team".
Haitham Hassan signed a contract extending for 4 seasons with Scottish Celtic, with the option to extend for an additional fifth season, provided that he wears the number 23 jersey with the team.
The 24-year-old player began his professional career with the French club Châteauroux before moving to Spain in 2020 to join Villarreal, and from there to Miranda, then Sporting Gijón, before joining Real Oviedo in the summer of 2024.
Haitham Hassan had played an important role in Real Oviedo's promotion to the Spanish league, during his first season with the club, where he regularly participated in the team's matches in La Liga last season.
