The Football Association confirmed that the Egyptian national team's training stopped due to a thunderstorm, as it lasted less than an hour.
The technical staff decided to complete the players' training in the sports hall of the residence hotel.
The Egyptian national team had qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Australia on penalties 4-2 last Friday, following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
In contrast, the Argentine national team qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Cape Verde 3-2 following extra time.
It is worth noting that the winner of the Egypt-Argentina match will face the winner of the Colombia-Switzerland match.
