Karim Hafez, Egypt national team left-back, sees the match against Argentina in the World Cup as very important.
The Egyptian national team meets its Argentine counterpart at exactly seven o'clock this evening, in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Hafez explained in statements via beIN Sports, before the match: "A historic match for us.. We will give everything we have, to make our country proud of us."
He added, "We know what we must deliver in the World Cup, we will enjoy that moment, and give 100% of our effort."
Regarding the last words said by national team coach Hossam Hassan to the players, Karim Hafez replied: "Hossam Hassan always supports us and encourages us, and gives us everything; he asked us to enjoy that moment."
He concluded his remarks: "We hope to win the match."

The Egyptian national team qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Australia 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after regular and extra time.
The Argentine national team eliminated Cape Verde 3-2 after the match went to extra time.
The winner of that match will face the winner of Colombia vs Switzerland in the quarter-finals, scheduled for 11 pm today.
