Portuguese player João Cancelo, of Barcelona, won the La Liga Goal of the Month award for September, following his standout goal against Racing Santander.
Cancelo's goal came in the eighth minute of the match, after he unleashed a powerful curved shot with his right foot that Racing goalkeeper Agirrezabala failed to stop, giving his team a distinctive goal in his first start of the season.
Cancelo returned permanently to Barcelona during the summer, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, and signed a permanent contract with the Catalan club.
The Portuguese fullback played until the 78th minute, before leaving the field amid applause and cheers from Barcelona fans at Camp Nou.
Barcelona tops the La Liga standings with 21 points, having achieved a perfect record by winning their first seven matches, scoring 31 goals while conceding 7.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, sits in fourth place with 15 points, having recorded five wins and two losses, trailing leader Barcelona by six points.
