Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will return to his club, Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, after being excluded from the Serbian national team camp, according to reports by mozzartsport.
Savic suffered an injury during the first Nations League match against the Netherlands.
The report clarified that the player will not travel to Munich and Eindhoven to play his national team's matches against Germany and the Netherlands in the Nations League.
Tests showed that the injury is not serious, but it requires a period of rest, so Savic will not be able to help his teammates in the next two matches.
Strahinja Pavlovic was unable to complete the match against the Netherlands due to an injury sustained during the same encounter, but he will travel with the team to Munich.
Doubts remain regarding his ability to participate against Germany.
He is expected to rest ahead of the Germany match, with a decision on his fitness for the Netherlands game to be made later.
Serbia faces Germany on Thursday, then the Netherlands on Sunday.
