Mosaique FM reported that Spanish coach Pablo Franco has electronically signed a contract to take over as the head coach of Tunisian club Espérance de Tunis.
The former coach of Maghreb de Fès had previously reached an agreement with Espérance to manage the team.
The report added that Pablo Franco is expected to arrive in Tunisia in the coming hours to begin his new duties, after his arrival was delayed due to family reasons.
Pablo Franco will take over the coaching role from Romanian coach Laurențiu Reghecampf, who moved to coach Romanian side Steaua Bucharest.
Last week, Reghecampf missed the scheduled departure of the team's delegation to Aïn Draham for a closed training camp.
These developments came before the Espérance management reached an official agreement with the new coach who will succeed Reghecampf at the helm of the team.
Reghecampf left Al-Hilal Sudanese after just a few days of renewing his contract, moving to coach Espérance de Tunis last June.
Espérance currently occupies fourth place in the Tunisian league standings with 9 points, having won three matches and lost one.
Espérance is preparing to face Libyan side Al-Swehly in the preliminary round (Round of 32) of the CAF Champions League.
