Arab teams' results in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The curtain has fallen on the Arab national teams' matches in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The third round is scheduled to begin in mid-November, during the upcoming international break.

Egypt national team

The Egyptian national team achieved its first victory in the AFCON qualifiers, defeating South Sudan 5-0, following the Pharaohs' goalless draw against Angola in the first round.

With this win, the Pharaohs' points tally rose to 4, topping the Group C standings, one point ahead of Malawi, who are in second place.

Tunisia national team

The Tunisian national team drew with its guest Botswana, two goals for each, leaving the Eagles of Carthage without any wins in Group J, after drawing 1-1 with Uganda in the first round.

The Tunisian team's points tally reached two with this draw, placing them third, two points behind Uganda, who lead the group and are ahead of Botswana, who are in second place, on goal difference.

Morocco national team

The Moroccan national team overcame its host Lesotho, two goals to nil, in the second round, having defeated Gabon by the same scoreline in the first round, thus achieving a perfect record.

The Atlas Lions' points tally rose to 6 with this result, topping the Group A standings, three points ahead of Gabon, who are in second place.

Algeria national team

The Algerian national team settled for a draw with its host Burundi, two goals for each, in the second round, following a 3-1 victory over Zambia in the first round.

The Algerian team's points tally rose to 4, placing them first in the Group G standings, one point ahead of Zambia, who are in second place.

Libya national team

The Libyan national team fell to Uganda, one goal to nil, in the second round, after drawing 2-2 with Botswana in the first round, remaining without any victories.

The Libyan team holds only one point, placing fourth in Group H.
