The youth team's head coach acknowledged the difficulty of the qualifiers, stating, "The North African zone is tough and resembles the African finals rather than just qualifiers."
The tournament features teams from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Libya, with the top two advancing to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Ghana.
Africa is divided into six zones, with two teams qualifying from each zone to the Youth Africa Cup of Nations.
Egypt increased their points tally to six, topping the standings after two matches.
Morocco sits in second place with four points from two matches, ahead of Algeria who have the same number of points but have played three matches.
Meanwhile, Tunisia remains at two points from three matches, while Libya trails at the bottom of the table without any points from two matches.
In the upcoming round, Egypt will face Morocco, while Tunisia will play against Libya.
