The Spanish striker Joselu is nearing a return to European football, as Eintracht Frankfurt has entered advanced negotiations to sign the experienced forward, who became a free agent after his contract with Qatar's Al-Gharafa expired.
According to the Spanish transfer news website "Fichajes," Eintracht Frankfurt has emerged as the frontrunner to secure Joselu's services in the final hours of the transfer window, despite interest from several other clubs, including Union Berlin, Lazio, and some Spanish teams.
Negotiations between the player and the German club are still ongoing, but no final agreement has been reached yet.
Frankfurt's move comes after Joselu departed Al-Gharafa, having joined the club in summer 2024 from Real Madrid. He spent two seasons in the Qatari league before becoming unattached as of July 2026.
Although some Spanish clubs are keen on bringing the former Real Madrid striker back to La Liga, Joselu appears inclined toward a new experience in Germany, a league he knows well having previously worn the shirts of Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Hannover 96.
It is worth noting that Joselu, born in the German city of Stuttgart, has had several stints in the Bundesliga, including a brief period with Frankfurt during the 2013–2014 season.
