German club Bayer Leverkusen announced the signing of French player Moussa Diaby from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, as he traveled to Germany to finalize his transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.

Diaby's contract with Al-Ittihad was originally set to run until summer 2028.
However, the French winger has returned to his former club on a contract extending until 2031.
The Saudi club stated in an announcement: "The club's management has approved the sale of the remaining term of player Moussa Diaby's contract to Bayer Leverkusen, following the completion of all necessary procedures between both parties."
It added, "The club's management extends its gratitude to player Moussa Diaby for his contributions during the past period, wishing him every success and prosperity in his upcoming sporting career."
Leverkusen did not announce the value of the deal, but reports indicated it was completed for €30 million.
Al-Ittihad had previously signed Diaby from English club Aston Villa in summer 2024.
Diaby succeeded in winning both the Saudi League and the King's Cup titles in the season before last.
Moussa scored 11 goals and provided 29 assists across various competitions while playing for Al-Ittihad.
Diaby began his career with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Bayer Leverkusen in summer 2019.
He then transferred from Leverkusen to Aston Villa in summer 2023 for €15 million.
Before finally joining Al-Ittihad in summer 2024 for €60 million.
