Saudi Al-Hilal Club is close to concluding a new local deal during the current summer transfer window by signing Mohamed Mahrazi, Al-Taawoun's right-back.
Mahrazi (24 years old) is one of Italian coach Simone Inzaghi's top requests to bolster the squad, especially as the player can feature at right-back as well as in midfield.
Saudi newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that Mahrazi will join Al-Hilal, signing a three-year contract after the two clubs reached a final agreement.
The player had been a target for Al-Qadsiah during the current summer transfer window, but his preference was to represent the capital club in the new season, according to the newspaper.
Al-Hilal have moved strongly in recent days to strengthen their squad in various positions, most notably signing Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville from English side West Ham United.
Al-Hilal's management have also re-signed Saudi international goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais on a free transfer, a move made in anticipation of the possible departure of veteran Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Al-Hilal won only one title last season, claiming the King's Cup after defeating Al-Kholood 2-1.
The Blue team are set to compete in several competitions next season, most notably the Saudi Pro League, King's Cup, Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite.
