Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah, the new striker for Saudi team Al-Taawoun, revealed his goals for the new season.
Hamdallah said in statements to the official website of the Saudi League Association: "Al-Taawoun is a big team that can compete for the titles of the new season, as well as the AFC Champions League 2".
He added, "Especially the continental championship, although it will be coveted by many clubs, including Al-Taawoun, we will fight for it, and why not win it and represent Saudi football in the best way?".
Al-Taawoun's striker confirmed that things are going well in preparation for the new season in the camp, and said that the camp period is the appropriate time to prepare the player mentally and physically, and all aspects related to preparation for the new season.
He concluded, "Thank God, we have made great progress in preparation, and God willing, we will be fully ready before the date of the first match".
Hamdallah is preparing for his ninth consecutive season in the Saudi League, as Al-Taawoun is the fourth club he plays for in the competition after Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad Jeddah, and Al-Shabab, and he previously had a short loan period with Al-Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup last year.
Hamdallah won the Saudi Professional League title twice, with both Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
Al-Taawoun's new striker is competing for the title of the all-time top scorer in the Saudi Professional League, as he is only five goals away from equaling the historical record registered in the name of Syrian top scorer Omar Al-Somah, as the Moroccan striker has scored 156 goals.
