Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is close to a new experience in European stadiums, after his negotiations with Turkish Besiktas entered their final stages, making the "Egyptian King" just steps away from wearing the shirt of the Turkish giant during the new season.
Salah had closed the curtain on his historic journey with Liverpool, after spending nine seasons inside the "Anfield" castle, during which he succeeded in winning all possible local and continental championships, in addition to achieving many records and winning individual awards that made him one of the greatest players in the history of the English club.
According to what was mentioned by the trusted Italian journalist Nicola Schira, Besiktas reached an agreement with Mohamed Salah and his agent regarding all personal terms, as the player will sign a contract that extends for one season, in exchange for a salary reaching 12 million euros.

Schira explained that the contract includes a clause allowing it to be extended for an additional season until the summer of 2028, pointing out that Italian coach Vincenzo Italiano played an important role in convincing the player of the club's sports project, which contributed to reaching the negotiations to their final stages.
He added that the Besiktas administration is currently working on finalizing the last touches before the official announcement of the deal, amid expectations of its completion in the coming few days.
Despite the interest of a number of Saudi Roshn League clubs in contracting with Salah during the past period, reports indicate that the Turkish destination has become the closest, especially with the player's desire to continue his career inside European football, which tipped the scales in favor of Besiktas despite the financial temptations coming from Saudi Arabia.
