The management of Saudi club Al-Ittihad is intensifying negotiations with officials of Dutch club Feyenoord to persuade them to drop their condition that is hindering the transfer deal of Algerian player Anis Haj Moussa.
Feyenoord had stipulated obtaining a bank guarantee, which is delaying the deal for the Algerian player, who wishes to join "Al-ameed" before the closure of the summer transfer window.
Recently, Al-Jadawi club has witnessed intense negotiations to secure the deal for the 24-year-old, whose contract with Feyenoord extends until the summer of 2030.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadh," communications between the two clubs' administrations are ongoing, with the aim of convincing Feyenoord to abandon its condition.
The newspaper indicated that if Feyenoord's administration insists on its banking condition, the focus will shift toward Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, a former Al-Ettifaq player.
Wijnaldum is currently in Dubai, according to media reports, undergoing medical examinations and awaiting approval to finalize the deal should negotiations with Feyenoord fail.
Wijnaldum previously played for Al-Ettifaq, but after his contract expired at the end of last season, he became a free agent, making him an easy option for the western club's administration.
Al-Ittihad is striving to finalize its new foreign signing within the next few hours before the transfer market closes, in order to strengthen options available to German coach Jens Vissing.
On Saturday evening, Al-Ittihad achieved an important and valuable victory over Al-Nassr in the Classic match and the fifth-round summit, winning 2-1.
It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad currently ranks fourth with 11 points, trailing Al-Hilal by 4 points, as Al-Hilal has achieved a perfect record after five rounds.
