English club Manchester City has announced the transfer of their Egyptian international player, Omar Marmoush, to Tottenham Hotspur during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Omar Marmoush's move to the London-based team came on a one-season loan deal, aimed at providing him with sufficient opportunity to participate regularly in matches.
Marmoush joined on loan with an obligatory purchase clause, as the London club seeks to build a strong squad following several major signings, expecting Marmoush to successfully lead their attack.
The Egyptian international spoke with Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi, expressing his admiration for the club's project, and looks forward to achieving harmony and meeting fans' aspirations through on-field goals.
What awaits Omar Marmoush at Tottenham?
Marmoush is Tottenham's latest signing in the ongoing summer transfer market, which has witnessed significant spending, also including Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes, Savinho, and Jan Paul van Hecke.
The London club also signed several free agents, notably the trio Marcus Sinesis, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dúbravka.
For his part, Omar Marmoush stated on the London club's official website: "It feels great to be here; I am extremely excited to start my journey with the team and can't wait to meet the fans."
The Egyptian international added: "Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me."
Marmoush seeks to regain his form with Tottenham
Looking at his scoring record, Omar Marmoush netted 16 goals and provided 6 assists in 62 matches across all competitions with Manchester City.
Marmoush suffered a significant decline in playing time under former manager Pep Guardiola, while new coach Enzo Maresca has granted the player greater autonomy.
The Egyptian winger will now seek to capitalize on regular participation with the London club to restore his usual brilliance and continue finding the back of the net against opponents.
Omar Marmoush remains under contract with Manchester City until June 2029, having joined the team from German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Clause prevents Marmoush from playing against Manchester City
Manchester City imposed a clause in the Egyptian striker's loan agreement to Tottenham Hotspur preventing him from facing his original team.
Consequently, Marmoush will miss both the home and away legs between Tottenham and Manchester City in the English Premier League.
The loan rules and agreed-upon condition also apply should the draw pair the two teams in domestic cup competitions such as the FA Cup or the League Cup.
