Press reports revealed new developments regarding Barcelona's desire to sign Manchester City midfielder Rodri, who is preparing to join his team after the end of his vacation.
Rodri returned to England after traveling from Madrid in Spain, before his scheduled return date for Manchester City training.
Sky Sports journalist "Fabrizio Romano" confirmed that Barcelona is preparing to submit a third offer to Manchester City in order to obtain Rodri's services.
Direct talks continue between Barcelona and Manchester City to reach a middle ground between the latest offer of 60 million euros and the required amount of 80 million euros.
Manchester City had previously rejected two offers from Barcelona worth 50 million euros and 60 million euros to dispense with Rodri, and Barca remains optimistic and confident in completing the deal.
Reports from the Spanish newspaper "Sport" had confirmed that Barcelona set a 48-hour deadline to complete the deal to sign Rodri.
Barcelona is considering raising the offer to sign Rodri to 65 million euros with 15 million euros in add-ons, or reaching a fixed amount close to 70 million euros.
