The Spanish national team is preparing to face the Czech Republic tomorrow, Saturday, in the third matchday of Group 3 in the UEFA Nations League.
Speaking at the press conference about the Ballon d'Or, Marc Cucurella said: "If the vote were up to me, I would vote for myself. There are two nominees who are my teammates, and whoever wins, I will be happy. Since I have teammates among the nominees, I am sure I will get a gift from them."
Regarding his different level between Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, he said: "I have played many matches here, whereas Real Madrid is a new club for me. I barely had a pre-season, and I need to adapt with my teammates, but I want my level with the national team to be the same as what I offer at Real Madrid."
He added, "I am happy with everything, not only on a sporting level, but also on a personal level and because of the love people give me. Making others happy is a very beautiful thing."
He continued, "In the national team, we have had a coach for a long time, and we have a clear foundation. As is the case with everything in life, it comes down to understanding. We have just started working with a new coach, and many players had a short pre-season; it is still too early to talk about that."
He concluded, "The start was not as all of us expected, and we lacked some things. It is an ongoing process, and it will be evaluated at the end of the season."
The Spanish national team tops Group 3 with 6 points, which includes England, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.
The Spanish national team achieved an exciting victory in the first match against England, 3-2.
They won against Croatia in the second matchday by a score of 4-1.
