Official | A blow to his club and concern at Real Madrid.. Spain national team announces a player's withdrawal due to injury

Via Btolat

The Spanish Football Federation announced in an official statement just moments ago the exclusion of one of the national team's prominent players due to injury, which made it impossible for him to continue with the current international camp.

The Spanish national team has played two matches in the UEFA Nations League so far, against England and Croatia, with two more matches remaining in the current international break in the same tournament against the Czech Republic and Croatia again.

According to the statement from the Spanish Football Federation, Ferran Torres, the Paris Saint-Germain star, was forced to leave the World Cup champions' camp on Friday.

It clarified that Ferran Torres' withdrawal from the Spain national team camp came as a result of discomfort in his left ankle, and although this issue did not initially prevent him from training or playing, the persistence of symptoms led to the decisive decision to exclude him to give him a chance for full recovery.

The Federation reported that the national team doctors had been in continuous communication with the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain since the start of the camp, in order to jointly monitor the condition.

It indicated that based on this, Luis de la Fuente decided to call up young Real Madrid player Carlos Espi, who plays for the Spain U21 team, to join the senior national team squad.

This news would represent a concern for coach José Mourinho, fearing that Carlos Espi might suffer an injury, especially since he has proven himself in crucial moments this season.
