Arsenal's final stance on signing Julián Álvarez

Via Btolat

Reports have revealed Arsenal's final stance on signing Argentine Julian Alvarez, the first-team footballer for Atletico Madrid, during the ongoing summer transfer window for the 2026/2027 season.

Julian Alvarez is considered the biggest headache for all followers of the 2026/2027 transfer market, due to the ongoing rivalry between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid over him.

Barcelona had wanted to sign him to replace the departures of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, who recently moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Atletico Madrid's stubborn stance prevented the deal from being completed, and they officially confirmed that Alvarez will not be sold to any Spanish club.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," Arsenal will not make an offer to sign Julian Alvarez unless the player expresses his desire to do so.

It was reported that the Atletico Madrid striker is expected to remain in Spain, as he has refused to return to the English Premier League again, feeling comfortable with his current situation and that of his family.

The report emphasized that, unless Alvarez changes his mind at the last minute, Arsenal is not optimistic about completing the deal.
