The police officers in Dallas, Texas, USA, were keen to bid farewell to the Egyptian national team delegation before heading to Atlanta. They shook hands with Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, and Ibrahim Hassan, the team manager, exchanging greetings before the delegation's departure.
The Dallas police officers also presented the police badge, designated for securing the World Cup, to Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, as a token of appreciation for the twins. These are golden security badges, specially designed to celebrate the participation of police officers in securing this global event.
The Egyptian national team won against Australia in a penalty shootout in the Round of 32 of the World Cup, qualifying for the first time to the Round of 16 of the tournament.
This came after the end of regular and extra time with a 1-1 draw.
The Egyptian national team will play against Argentina in the Round of 16, and the match will take place next Tuesday at 7 PM Cairo time.
The Argentine national team had won against Cape Verde 3-2 in the Round of 32 after the match went into extra time.
