Ibrahim Hassan, director of the Egyptian national team, stressed that no meeting was held with the Football Association during the past period to renew the contract of the technical staff.

Ibrahim Hassan said in statements to journalists: "We did not hold any meeting with the officials of the Football Association during the recent period, after returning from participating in the 2026 World Cup tournament."
He added, "We did not talk or address at all any clauses related to renewing the contract with the Football Association Board of Directors."
He concluded, "All the numbers, information, and clauses being circulated regarding the contract renewal have no basis in truth."

According to what FilGoal.com learned, the committee will discuss with Hossam Hassan the terms of renewing his contract and the technical staff and new salaries, in addition to the file of the two friendly matches in the next international break.

Hossam Hassan assumed the coaching of the Egyptian national team in February 2024 and began his journey with the Egyptian national team in March with a match against New Zealand.
Since then, Al-Amid has led the Egyptian national team in 35 matches, winning 19, drawing 10 and losing 5.
The Egyptian national team finished second in Group Seven with 5 points, behind the Belgian national team by a difference in points.
In the group stage, the Egyptian national team drew with Belgium and Iran, and won against New Zealand 3-1.
The Pharaohs achieved victory against Australia in the round of 32 on penalties, before losing to the defending champions Argentina in the round of 16.
