The Football Association announced the formation of a committee to determine the terms for renewing Hossam Hassan's contract as technical director of the Egypt national team.
Hani Abu Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, had previously announced the approval of the Association's Board of Directors to renew the contract with Hossam Hassan, technical director of the Egypt national team. (See details)
A statement from the Football Association revealed that the committee will include Khaled El-Derandaly, Vice President of the Board, Tarek Abu El-Enein, and Hamada El-Sherbiny, members of the Board, to determine the terms of renewing the contract with Hossam Hassan.
The committee will present the terms it reaches to Hani Abu Rida, President of the Association.

Hossam Hassan took charge of the Egypt national team in February 2024 and began his journey with the team in March with a match against New Zealand.
Since then, the "General" has led the Egypt national team in 35 matches, winning 19, drawing 10, and losing 5.
The Egyptian national team finished second in Group Seven with 5 points, behind the Belgian national team on goal difference.
In the group stage, the Egyptian national team drew with Belgium and Iran, and won against New Zealand 3-1.
The Pharaohs achieved victory against Australia in the round of 32 on penalties, before losing to defending champions Argentina in the round of 16.
