Mauricio Pochettino said via the FIFA website: "The match was very difficult against Belgium from the start."

He emphasized, "We congratulate Belgium after qualifying, they were better than us, and it wasn't our day."

He concluded his statements, "We have to learn, analyze the match, and understand why we didn't handle it the same way we did in the rest of the World Cup matches."
